Thank you for taking time to view Castle Oliver's website the castle was the ancestral home to Lord and Lady Ashtown. It was purchased by the present owner in 2006 and undergone extensive refurbishment to bring this historic property back to life.
Castle Oliver can be rented exclusively for your Irish gathering or once in a lifetime vacation.
Castle Oliver is not a hotel it is a private authentic Irish Castle built in Red Sandstone in the Scottish Baronial style with turrets, towers and of course a flag tower; truly magical!
Castle Oliver enjoys beautiful private gardens with a lake, woodland walks and fountains it overlooks the dramatic scenery of the Ballyhoura mountains and is located mid way between the cities of Cork and Limerick and just two hours from Dublin. Shannon and Cork airports are less than one hour drive away.
Due to the great success of heritage week tours we are extending Castle Oliver house tours. Open every weekend until the end of September.
Tours start at 12 noon 2pm and 4 pm, Saturday and Sunday.

The gates will open at 11am and last admission at 4pm. The tour will include the Clondofoy entrance hall with St Patrick's stain glass windows, the library, the Billiards games room, the Ballroom, the Drawing room and the Dining room. The tour will then proceed to the grand staircase and into a couple of the four-poster bedrooms and finally into Irelands largest wine cellar.

We do not have coffee shop facilities due to Castle Oliver being a private home.
