Castle Oliver was built in 1843 in the Scottish Baronial style, by two heiress sisters Mary and Elizabeth Oliver Gascoigne. It was built with local red sand stone with numerous turrets, towers and a spectacular flag Tower truly magical!!
The castle is not a hotel it is a private residence to Declan and Emma Cormack and their three young children.
Castle Oliver enjoys beautiful private gardens with a lake, woodland walks and fountains it overlooks the dramatic scenery of the Ballyhoura mountains and is located mid way between the cities of Cork and Limerick and just two hours from Dublin.
